Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Silver account has no monthly fees to worry about as long as you opt in for paperless statements.
Early Account Termination Fee
There is no early account termination fee to worry about
Our Verdict
Unlike the recent $750 business checking bonus, this one doesn’t require merchant services. Not as good as the $400 business checking bonus we’ve also seen before, but we haven’t seen that since 2019 so I’d recommend going for this $300 bonus if you have a business and we will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

The link shows a new offer valid through June 30th, 2023:

– Earn $750 when you deposit $15,000.
DP – Bonus-earning and account-closing data points:
– 4/26/2022 – Account (Silver Business Checking) opened online with $100
– 5/2/2022 – $5,100 transferred in from E*Trade
– 7/11/2022 – $300 bonus deposited into account
– 5/18/2023 – Requested that account be closed (via phone). Told closure would take one or two days. Removed from online view within a few days.
Did you have to do trial deposits for E trade?
I’m not sure what you mean by “trial deposits”. To link the account from E*Trade, I did opt to have E*Trade send two small verification deposits. However, I don’t believe I had to. I always voluntarily opt for going this route instead of Plaid.
1/27/23 – Opened account and funded $200 using Citi DoubleCash
2/03/23 – $3k ACH push from Capital One
3/23/23 – Did a bunch of ACH transfers
4/24/23 – $400 bonus posted
I got hit with the $6 service fee on 3/14/23. I spoke with a rep and they insisted that the fee is valid due to my activity in the month of February and they are unable to reverse the fee. The only transaction that occurred on my account in February was the $3k ACH push from Capital One and the rep insists the fee was because of this ACH transaction. I’m pretty annoyed with this and I will try calling again to see if a different rep would be able to help out.

It looks like all of the complaints may have made a dent in their initial resistance to paying out or someone over at US Bank found the error and corrected it. Thanks to everyone who took the time to fight back!
P.S. – US Bank did not respond to my CFPB complaint (yet) but noticed from other comments that they did for others. It could be because I had an active ticket in their system.
Finally received the $400 business checking bonus from my application in January. The waiting game has not been a good experience, but at least the bank paid out.
Got the bonus too! same timeline
Another DP on the bonus just posting, opened 1/3. Guess they got tired of all the messages they were receiving, wonder if anyone received a bonus that didn’t hit the requirements
P1 qualified 1/2 & P2 qualified 2/13 – both bonuses paid out today like everyone else. Thank you to whoever at USB noticed there was a problem (all the noise made by several on DoC probably helped too! It takes a village sometimes lol) Now I wait for the Leverage cards we opened to pay out & I can move on from USBank…unless another Biz card or 2 is in my future since USB is being so generous…
Opened 2/09. I made the final discover saving ach transfer on 2/24. Adjusted interested +400 on 4/24. LFG!!
Opened 1/8, bonus just posted now.
