- You can choose two categories to earn 5% in (limit $2,000 in spend per quarter), one category to earn 2% in one and 1% on all other purchases
Our Verdict
Previously the best offer was $200, but required $500 in spend. This requires a little more spend but that shouldn’t be a huge issue due to the 5% categories. Unfortunately getting approved for U.S. bank cards can be difficult so you might want to apply for the  the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card instead.

09/13 Linked card (having selected utilities as one of the 5% categories) to PayPal and paid $2000 of estimated tax via ACI

I take it there is no tracker for the bonus or any confirmation that it SUB is tied to your account?
Update: There is. After a couple of days of my account having some technical issue, and then finally clearing up, there was a tracker for the bonus.
Can spouses apply for the same card as you and still receive bonus?

If you applied and it was showing $200, you’ll get $200. Always check the application page.
When I click on the link, it only shows $200. Do I miss anything?
July 13 = Applied, went pending (put down self-employed despite people saying not to)
July 25 = Received letter requesting me to verify information and income (copies of DL, SSN, 1040’s). I also sent in bank statements & a letter
Aug 7 = Approved with $9,000 CL

August 10 — received the letter
August 12 — Called in and verified some info over the phone.
