[Expired] U.S. Bank Cash+: $250 Sign Up Bonus After $1,000 In Spend

Update 8/13/24: back down to $200 now

Update 8/2/24: Bonus increased to $250 with the same $1,000 spend requirement.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • U.S. Bank is currently offering a sign up bonus of $200 when you spend $1,000 or more within the first 90 days of account opening on the Cash+ card.

Card Details

  • No annual fee
  • You can choose two categories to earn 5% in (limit $2,000 in spend per quarter), one category to earn 2% in one and 1% on all other purchases

Our Verdict

Previously the best offer was $200, but required $500 in spend. This requires a little more spend but that shouldn’t be a huge issue due to the 5% categories. Unfortunately getting approved for U.S. bank cards can be difficult so you might want to apply for the  the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card instead.

I take it there is no tracker for the bonus or any confirmation that it SUB is tied to your account?

Update: There is. After a couple of days of my account having some technical issue, and then finally clearing up, there was a tracker for the bonus.

Thanks. I applied 2 days back. But during application it was showing me $200 instead of $250. Are there any chances of getting 250 if I contact US bank?

If I already have the US Bank Altitude Go card, will they let me get another card with them? Do they limit you at 2? Can I also do the Shopper Cash Rewards card? Just curious of people’s experiences with multiple US Bank cards. I ran into an issue with Capital One before with going over 2 cards so don’t want to make the same mistake here.

Been with US bank less than a month. Opened a CD to be eligible for the recent checking bonus a few weeks ago. Applied for this CC today in GA, approved with 17K limit w/ a 815CS. Looks like they only pulled TU. Nothing else frozen. Unsure about chex and whatever else but I do churn a good amount.
I did get the 7-10 day language and called recon whom stated they needed to “verify” me. An hr later I got an approved email.

Yes but without the sub, might be better off getting a card you havent had by them and PCing after a year

Did you apply recently and get approved? How much time in between each card and sub?
