Update 8/3/22: Deal is back and valid until September 30, 2022. (ht Bockrr)
The Offer
U.S. Bank is offering the following deal on some of their credit cards such as Cash+ and Altitude Reserve:
- Earn $10 when you spend $50 at restaurants, food delivery, or takeout.
The Fine Print
- To be eligible for this offer that runs August 31 through October 31, 2021 (promotion period), you need to enroll by October 15, 2021.
- The $10 statement credit will be awarded once you spend $50 in net purchases (net purchases are purchases minus credits and returns) during the promotion period at merchant locations that are classified in the following category: restaurant, including takeout and food delivery. U.S. Bank cannot control how merchants choose to identify their business and/or classify purchases and reserves the right to determine which purchases qualify.
- The statement credit will be credited to your Account 2-3 billing cycles after the end of the promotion period.
- The maximum number of statement credits is one.
- Your Account must remain open, have available credit and be current (no minimum payment past due) to qualify. This offer may not apply if the type of rewards that you earn changes within 12 weeks before August 31, 2021, or changes before the statement credit is applied.
Our Verdict
Reader Shri saw this offer in their U.S. Bank mobile app. Seems to be targeted.
8/5 ~$10 fast food
8/8 ~$40 sit down restaurant
11/2 $10 statement credit
USB is offering statement credits of $10 or $15 for “retail” purchases of $50+ or $75+, respectively. The (targeted) offer is only visible when logged into your account.

Just received this again this month effective 10/2/23 to 11/30/23: $10 statement credit within 2-3 billing cycles for $50 net “retail” purchases on my US Bank Cash+ credit card ($50 net is after any returns/credits are taken off the purchase total). Enrollment offer was in the home page above the card activity summary.
Same here, but what are “retail” purchases?
A wild guess, but I would assume it would be stores listed in the U.S. BANK SHOPPER CASH REWARDS® card since it gets 6% cashback on retail. No idea. An absolute shot in the dark

Does anyone know if us bank specific merchant offers show up anymore? Similar to chase offers?
I haven’t seen mine in a couple months, is it just me?
It’s still there, just usually no offers of note.

No offer on app or desktop. 3 cards. Maybe it only shows for people who dont use their cards?
1/3, and it’s on the one I use all the time.
Just checked and the offer shows on browser and app. You have to access your credit card specifically to see it, though.
In the app: touch the three bars on the top left, touch Explore accounts & offers, touch offers and finally scroll down.
Thank you so much for letting me know where it is.
Even though nothing shows up, hopefully one day it will.
I got $15 credit for $100 in dining spend from 8/1-9/30 on Altitude Go card.
I don’t have the app installed so I logged into the website on desktop and saw the offer there.
Where do you go on the website to get to offers?
I think I just went into my credit card account and there were some alerts on the top. 1 of the 2 offers available for was this one. There was a link “Enroll Now” link or something like that.
For this particular offer, I found it on the sidebar, to the left of the list of transactions. From the Dashboard, choose the card account(s) and the Enroll Now box + button may be at the bottom of the list (past “Manage account”, “Payments and limit” and “Account security”).
0/2 for Altitude Connect and Altitude Go
2/2 on mine and P2’s altitude reserve. P2’s annual $325 statement credit for travel and restaurants resets at the end of this month, so I am kind of interested to see if I can stack the $10 off $50 with the annual restaurant statement credits.
Trying to stack those plus an “Extra 0.2 points per dollar after $2000 8/1-9/30.”
Received this offer on my Altitude Connect
