U.S Bank is offering the following bonuses:

• 15,000 miles after your first purchase and a $100 statement credit after $2,000 in spend within 90 days of account opening on the Visa Signature Personal Korean SKYPASS credit card
• 10,000 miles after your first purchase and a $100 statement credit after $2,000 in spend within 90 days of account opening on the Business Korean SKYPASS credit card

The Fine Print

• 2 Korean Air VIP Lounge coupons each year
• Card earns at following rates:
  • 2x miles per $1 spent on all Korean Air ticket purchases
  • 1x mile per $1 spent on all purchases
• Receive 2,000 miles on card renewal
• No foreign transaction fee (based on credit worthiness)
• Annual fee of $80 (personal) and $75 (business are not waived)
• Offer valid until February 29th, 2016

Our Verdict

U.S Bank has offered targeted bonuses of 40,000 miles on this card before (check to see if you’re targeted) and often offer 30,000 miles (15k after first purchase and another 15k after $2,000 in spend). 15,000 miles isn’t really enough to do anything, but you can transfer from SPG, Chase & Diners Club.

This offer would be more tempting if the annual fees were waived, but they aren’t so I’m going to give this one a miss. If you do plan to apply, remember to freeze these two obscure credit reports first.
