U.S. Bank has made a change to the Altitude Reserve’s Priority Pass benefit. Previously you received four individual and four guest passes, now you receive 8 passes that can be used in any combination. In addition it looks like visits have reset as well, so cardholders should have 8 new passes.
Hat tip to MooMooYoshi
I have made 3 mobile wallet purchases since 01-01-2024. All 3 show 1x earnings, vs. the 3x that has always shown before. Yes, they were 100% mobile wallet.
Anyone else have this? How to resolve?
Anybody know if PP visit limit actually reset the count mid-cycle? I have technically used 8 visits this year, which all show up on the website.
But the app shows 2 visits remaining. I don’t think I trust the app’s information as it doesn’t even give me the visit history like the site does.
Priority Pass customer service confirmed I still have 2 remaining.
I just closed my card because I redeemed a cashback deal on my account and even though it clearly shows ‘earned’ I have not received a credit for that $8.89 for almost 3 months and after spending 5 hours with US bank to report the case (no one knew how to handle the issue until an agent offered to escalate the issue and I got a letter in the mail to call a number to submit a case), they closed my case for no reason. I guess I will have to report this to CFPB. As a reference, I had a similar issue with Chase, but Chase resolved the issue within 4 business days and all I had to do was sending them a single message. Be aware!
You were willing to stay on for 5 hours to get less than $9. That is not a good rate of return. Probably should have cut losses a lot earlier.
I agree, but I’m also the kind of person to email a company just on principle for charging me 5 cents of interest that they shouldn’t have.
Good for Reserve cardholders, but unfortunately no reset for the Connect.
Seems to only impact personal card, Altitude Business Connect is still only 4 visits
Nice!
I wish they added the free roaming data as well, but beggars can’t be choosers 🙂
Where do you find how many visits I have used? With this new policy, If is bring 2 guests, does that count as 3 visits? Or do I now get 8 visits which can include guests?
“As a U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® cardholder, you have access to 8 free airport lounge visits per membership year. Each member visit and each accompanying guest(s) visit applies against the free visit allowance. “
It says on PriorityPass.com
(1) Log into Priority Pass app via the account associated with your U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card.
(2) Tap on the Account tab at the bottom.
(3) You’ll see the visits used / available there.
Nice bonus for those who used their passes but have a PP renewal at a different time of year than now. I used most of my passes but now have 8 passes showing until my PP renewal in December when it should reset.
Please please please don’t be a precursor to a negative change (e.g., mobile wallet nerf.)
It’d be funny if they removed the only reason to try and get their impossible to get approved for card.
Impossible to get approved for? I had no issues.
I usually travel with Family so this change makes the card a little more interesting. Link to US altitude review follows. Review was made last year, but I believe very few things have changed besides this Priority Pass update:

Likewise. This is like the only card that can get a family of 4 in. Now I can do that twice and use my other card for business travel.
Point well taken, though BofA Elite and Ritz-Carlton include unlimited guests, and Citi Prestige includes your whole immediate family.
I still think the Altitude Reserve pairs great with an Amex hotel card, so you use these 8 passes for the 3rd guest or PP restaurants.
BoA Elite has unlimited PP guests?? Does that include restaurants?
Does boa premium rewards elite PP membership include PP restaurant access like the ritz card?
I believe you can also do this with hilton surpass and hilton biz. albeit no PP restaurants… It comes with 2 more visits with a $20 more effective annual fee.
