Our Verdict
Radisson Rewards was formerly Club Carlson, this card was exceptionally popular when it offered the last night free benefit (basically made it stay one night, get one night for free). The ability to earn free nights for spending $10,000 would be a killer benefit if the free nights could be used worldwide, but sadly it’s U.S. only and all of the better properties are found in Europe. I believe the standard offer on this card is 85,000 points so this is an extra 15,000 points. Check out these Things to Know about US Bank Credit Cards before applying. The problem with U.S. Bank is getting approved, it might make sense to apply for the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card instead.

Heads up – I applied through the DOC link above with the 100K point bonus, but when e-mailed US Bank to confirm the bonus I got a response that my account did not have the 50K + 50K bonus attached.
Instead, I was eligible for the standard bonus of 50K (1st purchase) + 35K after spending $2500 in the 1st 90 days. I e-mailed them back with the link but got the response below:
(I’ll probably mail in the info, but it’s clearly a giant PITA – YMMV, I guess)

I also did not receive the 50000 spend bonus. only 35000 spend. I have not received response to my complaint email yet.
I also did not receive the 100K, only 85K posted. I am pissed at US Bank. Any suggestion Doc? Can anyone share the copy of terms with 100K points.

So I’ve got both the personal and business versions of the old Club Carlson visa cards. These cards have not been converted to Radisson cards (at least not yet – I assume they will be eventually).
If I sign up for the current Radisson Rewards Premiere card, would that be considered a different product, and should I be eligible for the 100K sign-up bonus? Hmmm…
I just applied and was approved with a large credit line recently for the old offer. How can I get matched to the new 100,000 bonus?
try calling them?
or secure message if they have?
From all their 4 cards I find the Business version to be the best. since the Annual fee is only $60 and gives Gold status and 5 points per $1 spent plus 40K renewel points each year, (the same type in personal is $75 annual fee).
You could compare all 4 cards here. https://www.radissonrewardsvisa.com/credit/welcome.do?redirect=directTraffic1sec&lang=en&exp=
has anybody had success getting them to credit or waive first year annual fee?
I’d love to know. I’ve never even thought of asking to have a first year annual fee waived. Now I”m going to try. The worst that happens is they say no.
let us know how it went
There used to be a fair number of Category 1 hotels (9000 points) to redeem in the US. Sadly, there’s only one left, in Erlanger, KY.
Even the Category 2 hotels (15000 points) are few and far between.
Some, like Radisson Blu at the Mall in Bloomington, MN or downtown Minneapolis, MN are Category 7 (70000 points).
What are lowest points such hotels in nj/ny/ct /pa?
