Our Verdict
The only real reason to apply for this card is for the sign up bonus, it only earns 2 miles on Korean Air purchases and 1 mile on all other purchases so there are much better cards out there for every day spend.
The main advantage to this card is that the bonus posts after the first purchase, so there is no minimum spend requirement that needs to be met. This is perfect for those struggling to meet minimum spend’s now that it’s no longer possible to purchase Vanilla Reloads with a credit card at CVS.
Unfortunately 30,000 Korean Air miles doesn’t get you very far. You’ll need:

- 70,000 miles to fly from North America to South Korea return
- 70,000 miles to fly from North America to Japan, China & Northeast Asia return
- 85,000 miles to fly from North America to Southeast Asia return
- 95,000 miles to fly from North America to Southwest Asia return
- 110,000 miles to fly from North America to Oceania return
- 60,000 miles to fly from North America to South America return
And all of the above fares are their off-peak fares. This means that even if you get both versions of this card, you’ll still only have enough miles to fly to South America return. This is a pretty weak offer and we don’t recommend you apply for either of these cards because of the increase sign up bonus. If you do though, remember to freeze your credit reports from IDA & ARS to help improve your chances of being approved.
This sign up bonus information has been added to our master list of credit card bonuses for personal & business cards.
