Update November 2nd, 2017: Uber has cut the rates drastically for most participating merchants. For example Whole Foods was at 10% and now it’s at 2% for most people. Applebee’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Petco, IHOP are all reduced by 50%. Others are still at the 10% rate for now. Hat tip to reader Chucks
Update August 24th, 2017: Uber has officially announced the rerelease of Uber offers. I suspect this means it will be available in more cities/areas now. As always if it’s available to you then please let us know in the comments so we can update our list.
In August of 2016 Uber launched Uber Offers, this allowed you to link a Visa card and get a 10% Uber rebate at select merchants. When they updated the app in late 2016 this was removed. They have now added it back and it shows up as ‘Visa Local Offers’. You do need to opt in to be part of this new program and it’s not available to everybody/all regions. Here’s how to opt in:
- Make sure you have a Visa card added in your payment profile
- Click settings
- Click Visa Local Offers
- Click Count Me In
The program is basically the same, except that you don’t need to opt in to each business to receive the 10% Uber rebate. Any Visa card that is attached to your Uber profile will be eligible. Each merchant also has their own fine print, but gift card purchases at some locations seem to be working fine. No longer true (although doesn’t look to be enforced at all). Make sure you also use a card that earns at a high rate on whatever category your purchasing from (e.g restaurant/grocery)

Per checking today, I’m seeing 10% back at BP through 10/09/19. Max $10 back ($100 spend).
Check your app though and confirm.
Here’s offer terms: https://www.trialpay.com/legal/offers/terms/?p=uber&tid=6rpoY11&code=FuyFbM5Ly
Thanks to the great information offered on this site I’ve discovered that it is possible to stack multiple cash back programs from a single spend. This is definitely YMMV, but I’ve found two restaurants in my area that participate in a number of CB programs. I’ve stacked Uber Local offers with two other programs on one restaurant order, while another restaurant allowed me to get CB from Uber Local and 3 other programs. Some restaurants participate in a number of programs but they just won’t stack, so this process is definitely trial and error, but when you find a stack it is really useful – they are out there but you have to do the research!
Good luck to all.
These have all disappeared from my Uber app. I was in a city where they were quite plentiful. Don’t know if this is deliberate, or some attempt at reducing usage, if people don’t know where they can actually get the benefit. Anyone know of a way to see on a desktop browser who is offering VLOs?
Vsa Local Offers also disappeared in my Uber app since last Uber update. When I swiped up on the bottom of the Uber home screen, the Message window didn’t appear. Anybody can still see the Visa Local Offers?
I’m seeing the same thing- no VLOs in the app anymore for me 🙁 Just the internal Uber Rewards program
I got this offer in Orlando, FL as well
Nothing here in Jacksonville.
Only 5% back on Sam’s Club in Indiana.
Interestingly, I do have an offer for 100% back on Deezer (a music subscription service).
I’ve now got the Deezer offer, but lost Sam’s about 2 weeks ago and it has not returned. It only showed up in my area about 3 months ago, unlike some others who have been seeing it forever.
No luck for me in santa monica,CA.
No uber reward+ no more 2% dosh + no more yelp 3%+ no CC 5% rotating categories =Goodbye sams club. I wont be missing your 15 mins line
Seeing this in Kansas City – 10% at Sams Club
Sam’s has been disappeared from my account recently.
Same for me, and I did not hit it very hard. Maybe $30 – $40 cash back over the past few months.
I hit it hard because I knew this day would come and I would be sad that I hadn’t hit it harder. Just went away last week.
I’m still sad I didn’t hit it harder 🙁
I used it literally once (just joined Sam’s recently) and it didn’t track so I contacted customer service to fix. Next thing I know the offer disappeared entirely.
I wonder if the $20 max of 5% at Sam’s is per day or per purchase? Can I get several times per day?
