Worth mentioning the deal also includes New Zealand. Still not a great deal but SFO to Christchurch for 40k is decent.
United is unusable. I am thinking of dumping my United CC. Thing is I’ve had it for so long I’m worried that my score will plummet. That is the only reason. For me and where I go – United is a non-starter.

70000 round trip to Tahiti from east coast USA is pretty good deal today.
I thought 80-90k was the normal round trip rate for coach anyway?!
Nope much higher.
Virtually all 40k/45k flights not originating from SFO require at least 2 layovers.
