Our Verdict
This is a different card to the $500 bonuses offered on the UNLIMITED or ELITE cards. Not sure if it’s possible to double (or even triple dip). My guess is no, but if anybody has any experience share in the comments below.
FYI, the swagbucks / referral combo for the rewards checking and this bitcoin offer are both different offers for the same rewards checking account. Not sure if you can open multiple accounts using different emails to churn both offers, I initially did the SB / referral offer for the rewards checking, then realized after this bitcoin offer is for the same rewards checking account.
Did anyone manage to successfully ‘churn’ these bonuses with Upgrade? I did the $400 LOC bonus back in February.. I haven’t used that card since and ended up closing the related checking account a few months ago. I wonder if there are any successful DPs on someone who got the $400 bonus also getting the $500 bonus?
Does anyone know what were the requirements to get this $500 bonus? Wondering if this was better or worse than the $500 LOC offer, that link still appears to be working.

For those of us who did the original Upgrade deal in December, 2021.. I closed my checking account from that one a month ago.. Am I good to go to apply for this new offer and effectively churn it? Has it been confirmed yet that it can be churned? I hate wasting a hard pull for nothing.
I have more soft and hard pulls on my account and me give no f’s 🙂
Any luck? I tried to open a new rewards checking the day after I recieved email about my previous one being closed and I was rejected again. I was able to get farther in the application process this time though. Ill try again in a few days.
$500 bonus posted. Does anyone know if they can be transferred to a bank account instead of statement credit after its sold?

I got my bitcoin bonus to post and sold it…seems there is no way to redeem it. Do I just have to spend on that LOC in order to use the rewards? So hoping I could just cash out

I did it in the My Bitcoin Rewards tab…there was a button that said sell bitcoin with a small fee.
Damn that sucks. I was hoping to not even have to activate that card

DP: Opened the account (checking account and LOC) on 7/24. Completed 3 debit card and 3 Upgrade card transactions on 8/8 after I received my physical cards in the mail. $500 bitcoin bonus posted to account on 8/16.
Opened the LOC bitcoin account two weeks ago, approved
Saw I needed rewards checking, opened that a week ago
Got email saying that my accounts have been locked. Did identity verification over phone. Was told it’d be a week before my accounts are active again
For now, nothing in my rewards checking and I’m unable to deposit by transferring funds in. The link won’t work

Called them again and they finally unlocked my account. Did three transactions on debit card and three on LoC for good measure, bonus posted yesterday
I never joined the credit union but was sent the credit card anyway and it is a active and shows a credit line. However, I tried to use it and it failed. I also tried to figure out a way to join the CU via Exchange and can’t find any links. I did get an email from Exchange with a link but it only takes me to my Exchange account. Any suggestions??
Same problem here. I think I had this problem because I forgot I already had a Upgrade checking account.
I closed the Upgrade checking account that got opened from the first bonus earlier this year. How long do I need to wait before applying for this second LOC bonus? @bankbonus

I opened my first LOC on 2/24/22 and my second on 7/26/22 but was unsuccesful on opening a rewards checking with the new LOC. Ive since closed out my rewards checking and waiting for 30 days to try and open a new one. Hopefully I can open it within 60 days and get the bonus but not sure. I think we are in uncharted waters.
I tried opening a second one today since I keep getting an email that in order to get the 500$ I need to open a new checking, tried to contact them through mail to see if I would qualify since my checking is only 3 to 4 weeks old but opened before the LOC and their response was to contact them through phone -.- I really dislike calling so I probably won’t, BTW how did you close the checking? Did you call or email them?
