Regus Membership Dropped from Virgin Atlantic Credit Card

Benefit Lost

It seems Regus Businessworld Free membership benefit is being dropped by Virgin Atlantic Credit Cards just a couple months after American Express announced dropping the benefit from their Business Platinum Card. This free benefit will be ending on May 22, 2015. Cardholders can still sign up for the benefit prior to May 22 in order to have another free year of Regus.

Regus Virgin benefit loss

This benefit can be worth as much as $59 a month for some cardholders.

Regus Gold

Benefit Added

The Virgin Atlantic Credit Card which earns 1.5 miles per $1 on any regular spend will be earn an additional 1.5 miles per $1 on Regus purchases. This means cardholders will earn 3 miles per dollar on Regus purchases after May 22, 2015.

Verdict

It seems that Bank of America which issues the Virgin Atlantic Card has attempted to make nice by increasing the earning on Regus purchases, but that is a fairly useless bonus if all you used Regus for was the free office benefits (internet, refreshments, business lounge access).  I would suggest calling Bank of America and seeing if they would be willing to credit some bonus miles to your account or some type of statement credit. Chase and Amex recently offered points and credit when losing lounge benefits on their respective cards.

Tip: Register for your Regus membership if you haven’t already before May 22, 2015 in order to keep your membership for another year free of charge.
