Each link goes to their Charity Navigator profile, followed by their tagline/short description and then their official website. They have been listed in the order they were suggested.
- Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres). Medical aid where it is needed most. Independent. Neutral. Impartial. Official website
- Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA). Giving hope, making miracles. Official website.
- Globus Relief. Your non profit solution to improved healthcare worldwide. Official website.
- Charity: Water. Water changes everything. Official website.
- Aga Khan Foundation. Dedicated to improving living conditions and opportunities for the poor. Official website.
- Common Hope. Educating children, empowering families. Official website.
The following charities that were suggested didn’t make the vote, either because they had less than 4 stars with Charity navigator or they were not listed: masbia soup kitchen, American Red Cross, Haiti Health Initiative, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, lose4autism, RAINN, Human Fund (fake charity featured in Seinfield). Please note this is not an indication that I think the charities listed are not worthy, it’s just they didn’t conform to the rules we set out.
If you do cast a vote, I hope you take some time to read a little on each of the charities and don’t just vote for those you’re most familiar with. We will also be making another donation for this month, so feel free to suggest charities for our next vote.
You can vote a maximum of one time and voting will end on December 19th Midnight PST. The money being donated will be spread out over multiple charities depending on how you vote. Thank you for supporting this site so we are able to do this type of thing. Make sure you share this site as much as you can so we can continue to do good.
