Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is an EATF or not.
Our Verdict
Always nice to see a bank bonus with no direct deposit requirement. If you sign up please let us know if it’s a hard or soft pull to open.

US Bank Business Triple Cash triggered as a cash advance
US Bank biz cards are a little different. You need to raise your CA to the max, which is 25% of your CL, which is counterintuitive.
Then when you fund the CC, add just under that CA amount.
For example, if your CL is $20,000, and your CA is $5,000, then fund your bank account up to $5,000.
Also, is the max funding for Kitsap Federal still only $500? (down from the previous $10k?)
Thanks for the info. Turns out cash advance wasn’t enabled for this card. I was able to enable it and call the bank to re-process the card and it went through as a transaction. And yes, max funding is now $500.
Is this still allowing CC funding ?
Yes, but it’s down to 500, unfortunately, at least for me as a member.
I saw $500 as well just now when I was trying to open an additional account.
Looking for DP’s on Ink Preferred funding
Would anyone mind sending me a referral? My email
pizzaalltheway123 @ gmail.com
is there anyone who can give me a referral for opening an account with Kitsap ?
4/12/24 – opened with $10k on Discover It card, coded as purchase
4/18 – $1 Real direct deposit
4/24 – 12 $0.01 utility bill debit transactions
5/2 – $150 “KCU AT HOME INCENTIVE” received
In my opinion this is worthwhile for the $10k in credit card funding alone. The $150 bonus is gravy.
Have the time requirements been eliminated? I opened in November 2023 and had to fulfill Gold status requirements for three months (Dec/Jan/Feb) and got the bonus in late March.
Here’s what it says on the offer page now.
To qualify for the KCU at Home cash bonus, (1) new Gold Checking account must be opened online at http://www.KitsapCU.org/KCUatHome, (2) member must be in good standing, and (3) account must meet Gold Checking qualifications at least one time within the first 3 statement cycles of account opening. Once Gold Checking qualifications are met, bonus will be deposited into primary savings account on or before the 10th business day of the following month qualifications are met. Offer valid for 30 days from effective date and subject to change.
Not sure when it changed to only needing to meet the Gold Checking qualifications once.
Thanks! I can’t do it again, but this is a much easier (better) opportunity now, considering the $10,000 credit card funding allowed. We may need to consider this for P2.
Interestingly it doesn’t say anything about existing members on the page. The T&Cs are really just a single paragraph. I have a checking account with them that hasn’t gotten a bonus before; thinking of reaching out and asking if they can add the promotion to my account and/or if they can confirm I can do it with a newly-opened account.
Not thrilled about the 12 debit card transactions, though.
Was it 5k for Savings and 5k for Checking? And did it post as a single 10k charge on you card? DrWendy
It was a single $10k charge for the Gold Checking. They do a hard pull, not sure about inquiry sensitivity. Also, Amex is not accepted (I’ve not yet found a bank that will accept Amex for funding an account).
Fairwinds via PayPal, but only 500.
Hard pull? Which credit bureau?
Stopped working. Thanks for killing this!
If you don’t support sharing these opportunities then why are you using this website? The site can only exist if we share information. Also, why target my post for your hypocrisy? I’m not the first to share this information.
What exactly stopped working? Are you simpy making a prediction?
Just tried CC funding 06/21/2024, it coded as a purchase on VX on 6/24/2024. It is still going
It didn’t stop
Has anyone tried CC funding with Chase Ink Unlimited?
Any Early Termination fee or are we okay to close the account once we receive the bonus?
P2 and I should have received our bonuses in February. Reached out and they said there is a reporting issue and there is no timeline for resolution.
A manual review of accounts could have resolved this by now.
I filed a CFPB complaint (they forwarded to the NCUA). I recommend others do the same.
Just received my bonus. Likely cause I made the complaint. P2 has not complained and has received nothing.
P2 reached out via SM and received bonus today. Did not need to escalate or threaten to escalate to CFPB for P2 thankfully.
I contacted the bank today for the second time via chat and they did a manual review and said my bonus would be applied before Friday.
Of course they said that last time, too.
Next escalation will be a NCUA complaint.
Bremerton, come on.
I did receive the bonus on 3/21
Anyone with DP if they pull Chex?
I think it’s a safe assumption that they will pull Chex.
Yes, I can confirm that they pull Chex.
