Our Verdict
They offered a $300 bonus earlier in the year with the same requirements. Because of that we won’t be adding it to the best bank account bonuses page.

Looks like they are Chex sensitive. I was declined for opening 6 checking accounts in the past 3 months. However the CSR said that I could bypass that requirement by opening my account in branch.
It looks like a $100 version of this bonus is back.
Damn it, I was waiting for new cc before jumping on this! 🙁 Please come back, please come back, please
William Charles Chuck Appears to be expired, couldn’t find an alternate page on their site
William Charles offer is back but only for student accounts https://www.gesa.com/community/back-to-school-promotion-application
Thanks
I don’t see the bonus mentioned on that page?
William Charles the promo details are buried throughout the page, for example, about halfway down it states “To qualify for the $100 incentive, member must establish membership by way of student savings account”….

I know there was a better bonus for $300 earlier in the year, but while not as good as that offer, this is still a good offer if you missed the $300 one.
8/20 Acct opened
8/31 final requirements met with 18th Amazon debits (0.50-0.55 cents each spread out over 3 days; 6/day)
9/1 $150 bonus posted
The thing I like most about this account is not the bonus itself, but the ability to get cash back via credit card funding. When you factor that in, this is an easy $350 bonus if you can get 2% back on something like Citi double cash for 10k. Also, the quick posting of the bonus is very nice.
As I mentioned earlier, plan to keep this open and try to open an extra savings account later to fund with CSP to get that bonus (if I am approved later this month). That would be an extra $555 ($600 bonus for CSP + $50 cash back from CSP – $95 CSP annual fee) made much easier by having a Gesa membership. But if Gesa doesn’t allow that, then I can just pay property taxes with CSP instead.
No problems creating a secondary savings account and funding with CSP for 5k. Coded as purchase and 85,000 points pending for CSP.
Declined due to Chex. 15 in the past 3 months.
In terms of credit bureau used, I can confirm that experian was required for my application. I had equifax and transunion unfrozen for P1 and P2. No matter what I did, I got an error at the initial page where you enter your name and SSN. However, once I unfroze Experian, I got past the initial page and was able to submit the application.
did the $300 promo, beware not MS friendly!
Hello. Can you provide more details on what issues you ran into? Do you mean initial CC funding of the account? There are multiple comments for the $300 offer of success with CC funding and getting the bonus. I did read one comment where someone was trying to open up a 5th account for MS spending purposes and got shut down. But I have no intention of opening more than 1 checking and 2 savings. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
