The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • WECU has the Lux credit card with the following:
    • 25,000 points (worth $250) when you spend $2,500 within the first 90 days
    • 0% introductory APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months (no bt fee)

Our Verdict

Card earns 3x on dining, entertainment and more. They also have a $250 checking bonus, I suspect this credit card is also WA only but haven’t confirmed. You can find more 0% APR offers by clicking here.

William Charles Great credit union if you qualify. In addition to the card offer, they still have the $250 checking bonus that you posted about here: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/wa-only-wecu-250-checking-bonus/ (extended until 3/21/25).
I came for the bonuses a while back and stayed for the high interest rate products- 8% APY on checking to $5K + 6% APY on 2.5K on savings.

I see they have a $25 account closure fee due to “abuse”. Are they strict with the 20 debit card transactions not being small amounts? Thanks.

Very intensive preapproval process for a credit card. Requires a great deal of information and I was still sent into “application pending” status.

William Charles 0% intro APR also applies to balance transfers, and there’s no BT, CA, or FT fees.

They also have a prequalification tool for their main cards. However, eligibility is restricted to WA residents (live/work/worship/study), family of existing members, WWU alumni, and WECU employees.

Weird, I’m getting instagram ads for the sign up bonus. Don’t live in WA and haven’t traveled there in over 10 years.

That is often meaningless, and always subject to membership approval. With certain banks, I even get bonus offers for which I do not qualify inside of online banking!
