The Offer
- Buy $10 of Diet Dr. Pepper at a Walmart store and get a $5 Walmart e-gift card with receipt submission
- You’ll also get 400 Swagbucks points by going through their portal before submitting your receipts
You can do this up to five times (with five separate receipts of $10 each), for a total of $25 back in Walmart gift cards + 2000 Swagbucks.
The Fine Print
- Valid through February 28
- Each receipt must be at least $10, no combining receipts to hit the $10 threshold
Our Verdict
It’s a pretty good deal overall to get $9 off $10, though it’s quite limited since it works only at Walmart and works only on Diet Dr. Pepper.
A lot of people might be doing the $50 Uber promo which requires buying Dr. Pepper or Diet Dr. Pepper, so adding stacking these two deals together can make for a good combo. Note that this deal is easier to meet as far as the bottle goes since it can be any size bottle (can, 20 oz, 2-liter, etc.). On the other hand, the Uber deal works at any store and works on regular sugar-filled Dr. Pepper too.
Swagbucks are worth at least one cent per point. It might be a good idea to do a separate click-through from Swagbucks to the landing page for each of the five submissions.
If you are signing up for a new Swagbucks account, I’d appreciate if you use my Swagbucks referral link. You’ll also get a $3 bonus at the end of the month if you earn 300 SB.
Hat tip to Slickdeals
I’m getting a denied message after my receipt submissions even though I’ve met all requirements. Anyone knows how to fix this? Thanks
They just upped this:
Each time you spend $10 or more on eligible Diet Dr. Pepper products @ Walmart, you earn a $5 Walmart e-gift card & 400 SB. Get up to $45 in Rewards!*
Nice! I’ll update.
I bought 6 bottles of 20 oz Diet Dr. Pepper for a little less than $11 total yesterday. Had no problem submitting the receipt (received the $5 Walmart gift card within a couple of hours) or getting the SB. I also submitted two of the bottles for the Uber promo and received the Uber code this morning. The bottles specifically mentioned the Uber promo, so I’m not sure if that only works on certain bottles.
Thanks for the data point
What info was required for the Uber promo?
I actually went to a WalMart, purchased 4 16oz six-packs of Diet Dr. Pepper, costing approx $12 after taxes. I tried submitting the receipts and was denied. I repeated this a few times and was denied.
So that’s a data point worth keeping in mind. I checked the SKU, it is listed as one of the acceptable configurations of Dr Pepper. Not sure what’s going on. Maybe folks want to wait until someone else successfully does this before going forward? I feel I wasted a lot of time and money.
Hmm, odd
Whats with dr pepper lately? Are they discuntinuing dr pepper and need to sell out, by the way anyone else think dr pepper taste like medicine? 😂
The links are messed up. Uber link points to walmart promo.
Fixed, thanks
