I would only buy this item when offered directly from Walmart only. These other refurb companies would be a hard pass.

I picked these up when they were originally posted, received them, and used for a cross-country trip this week. I don’t know what “new” AirPod Pros look and behave like, but had I not known these were refurbished I would have believed without hesitation that they were new.
Like Amazon Warehouse and other refurb items YMMV, but you can certainly score a pair that look and function like new from this deal.
I did not buy these since I have them already but I totally agree with you. These may have had a defect in the factory or whatever, but effectively a brand new perfect item.
I got these, case showed some use, but the earbuds were clean. However, the left earbud always reported poor fitment and had clearly worse sound quality and seal. Will return, probably was a mistake to get something that relies on a mechanical seal refurbished anyways.
You can bring it to the Apple store and get it replaced.

How exactly are these refurbished? If you look up a tear down of these you will see that it’s entirely unserviceable.
Everything refurbished/sold by apple store is transparent, clearly written on their page. All the rest so called refurbished are almost always just returns.
