Update 11/15/23: New statements are showing December 10, 2023. Hat tip to @DugrozReports
Flyertalk user cjw2001 points out an interesting development for Wells Fargo Autograph cardholders:
Effective November 15, 2023:
Points Transfer
A new online redemption option will be available for all Points-based Wells Fargo Credit Cards called Points Transfer. With Points Transfer, You will be able to redeem Your Points to transfer as miles, points or credits to participating partner loyalty transfer programs.
The same notice doesn’t appear on the Wells Fargo Active Cash but unsure about other cards. Autograph currently has a 30k point bonus and earns at the following rates:
- 3x on dining, transit, travel, and streaming services, gas, phone plans
- 1x everywhere else.
Existing Autograph cardholders- can you confirm ability to transfer points to partners?
I just got a 40k point offer for the Autograph card, exclusive to Premier Checking clients.
Will be nice for there to finally be another bank with transfer partners. Hopefully they aren’t as bad as Citi
LHW is a phenomenal unique to Citi transfer partner. Citi also has the excellent 1:2 Choice partnership, better than any other issuer’s choice transfer ratio. They also have Wyndham transfers for Vacasa rentals, though not unique as C1 also offers Wyndham
Is it reasonable to assume the signify biz cards will be announced/released at the same time as the introduction of transfer partners?
Are these going to be pure 1:1 points transfers or similar to chase and Amex who offer 15-30% discounts on occasion.
How do you expect anyone to know?
@Ben Good question. My reasoning is that this made it to the from page of Doc and I can currently transfer my points 1:1 as cash. So what value does adding a transfer partner add? I can currently purchase any airline ticket or hotel using whatever method I want then pay for that purchase using the points that I transferred as cash 1:1 to a bank account or a statement credit to the WF card. It does not really seem to add any value to the current points. Unless there is a strategy that I’m missing, which is likely. I agree that its unlikely that someone would know.
Even if the transfer partners transfer at 1-to-1, the value is that in many cases, dedicated points or miles of an airline/hotel can be worth MORE than 1 cent per point, thus beating your cash-out rate.
That’s one of the core tenants of people who play “the game.”
Cheers!
Bonvoy now on bilt
Looks like there is a delay of when transfer partners will be available Chuck William Charles https://youtube.com/shorts/00ohfG8IU0E?si=C_rhW5jKF0AvSrKk
Thanks for sharing this. Interestingly, my WF Autograph statement for October mentioned the original 11.15.2023 launch date, but my latest statement for November does not mention the revised 12.10.2023 date (or anything at all about transfer partners).
According to people on Reddit who have contacted support/people whose statements cut this month, rollout has been delayed until Dec. 10.
The date got pushed back to December 10th according to my most recent statement.
Okay, Nov/15 and still no transfer partners on the WF website when logged in.
I called CS at Wells today and they confirmed it’s coming but don’t have any information – just keep checking the site for the update is what she said.
Over at Reddit, someone called CS and they said it was delayed until Dec. 10th.
