Has anyone had any luck with “US Treas Tax Pymt” counting as an online purchase? I’ve had this card for several months and just got an email today for 325,000 points with $1,000 online purchase that expires 3/14/25. I must have missed the initial email. I just paid my taxes through TurboTax and came through as US Treas Tax Pymt in my email for the card not being present. I hate to lose out on this offer but don’t think I can come up with another $1,000 in online purchases in a week… mad at myself for missing the initial email!

Data point that US Treasury Tax Payment worked for online purchases. Offer: Make eligible online purchases totaling $1,000 or more and receive 325k points from 2/15/25 through 3/14/25.

3/6/25 – Paid $1,100 for federal taxes using TurboTax desktop software. Received e-mail that card was not present for “US Treas Tax Pymt”.
3/8/25 – Posted to account as “US Treas Tax Pymt Franklin TN”.
3/9/25 – 325,000 points posted.

I also had a fee for using a credit card that posted as “Service Fee Franklin TN”. I don’t know if that counted as an online purchase. That CC fee was certainly worth it!

Center Point Energy online payment

Did not work:
Pay-Less fuel purchase using the app (coded as Kroger fuel)

Made purchases from Giftcards.com, Amazon, and Publix in store via the app, each on 2/22 and points posted 2/26.

Buying a physical Publix gift card on their website codes as grocery. Waiting to see if it counts for online (don’t see why it wouldn’t)

Can confirm that buying a physical Publix gift card from their website counts toward online spend. Just received my SYW points 🙂

This is what worked so far for me (at least according to the tracker):

– Etsy
– Amazon
– Universal Orlando ticket purchased over the phone
– Home Depot online order
– A ticket to a show at a local theatre company via Ticketor

Did NOT work:

– Kiswe livestream ticket
– Florida Blue insurance payment

Paying medical bills didn’t count even though “Kaiser WA Online” literally contains the word “online”

Anyone know if grocery subscription boxes such as HelloFresh and Blue Apron code as online shopping?

When should I expect the bonus to be posted? Should it be at the same time when the spending limit is reached and seen in shopyourway.com? Or some time later?

Bonus points issued by SYW (“spend $25, get 1 trillion SYW points”) post quickly, within a couple days of hitting the spend. Bonuses issued by Citi (“spend $4k monthly on Anal Probes, get $100”) post pretty randomly, sometimes close to a month later.

Interestingly, paying my health insurance premium via Florida Blue’s app DOES count towards online spend even though they specifically exclude insurance. Tried paying my car insurance last month via the State Farm app and that did NOT work.

*edited to add I confused a different purchase on the tracker, Florida Blue DOES NOT count 🙁
