Avoiding Fees
Basic Business Checking $8 Monthly Fee
The basic business checking account is the easiest to keep fee free. It has a $8 monthly fee, this is waived if you have a minimum balance of either:
- $300 daily or
- $500 monthly
Early Account Termination Fee $20
This account does come with an early account termination fee of $20 if you cancel it within the first 180 days of account opening. In addition the account must be kept open for 195 days otherwise you will forfeit the bonus
Our Verdict
This is a great bonus, it’s not clear what sort of business documents they require and it looks like you’ll need to open in branch [branch locations here]. If anybody decides to go for it, please share your experiences in the comments. They also have a $300 personal checking bonus that is well worth doing as well. I’ll be adding this to the best business checking account promotions.

It appears the offer may be gone as the link is no longer working. I went into a branch today to try open a business checking account. I recently opened a personal checking account online yesterday and they actually told me that is “supposed” to be one per household, so I guess I shouldn’t have said anything 🙁 But regardless, it looks like its gone now
Thanks, will update.
I only have a ‘Loan Office’ in my city, does anyone know if it can open Business Checking accounts? I would imagine no but I dont know the exact functions typical loan offices provide.
Opened an account in branch yesterday. Brought in my EIN confirmation letter, but I’m not sure if that was necessary, or if having an EIN was even necessary. Applied as a sole proprietor doing business under my name, and was not asked for any other business documents. They pulled my ChexSystems report, and suffice it to say they are definitely not inquiry-sensitive. As usual with these business account bonuses, be prepared to answer some basic questions about your business. Banker confirmed I was eligible for the bonus, even after receiving their personal checking account bonus last year. Would be happy to share any other info 🙂
Says or call the number. Has anyone tried that yet? If not I can give it a try and report back
Go for it!
