PCMCU offer a credit card (MasterCard Platinum) that is very interesting. Let’s take a quick look:
- Card earns 5% on all purchases on up to $1,000 in spend every month
- No annual fee
The main downside is becoming eligible to become a member:
- Be related to a current member or
- Be a current or retired employee from Select Employer Groups (SEG’s) in the Green Bay or Marinette Area?
If you spend a lot then obviously this is a great card, although if you don’t you might be better offer sticking to just chasing sign up bonuses.

Essentially, it’s an employee benefit. Why list it here?
So is it worth it to try to marry someone who works at one of those places to become eligible for this card? Maybe move there temporarily to find such a mate. Then just move back and reap the $600 per year? Churners gonna churn!
I feel like there’s better uses for your time at that point…

Also been on my radar for awhile now. This card is essentially impossible to get for 99.9+% of people.
This has been on my wishlist/radar for 5+ years. But the geo restriction is very strict and no known workarounds AFAIK other than family relationship. Though that strict fence probably helps keep it alive and away from all the credit card gamers min/maxing this card to death.
Take advantage while you can. See how long it lasts.
Damn shame that it’s so selective in its eligibility. Guess i’ll stick with the redstone FCU card until something equally amazing appears.
Hey, hadn’t heard of this card before, that’s awesome how it has 5% back on gas and restaurants and 3% back on a bunch of other categories. I was curious if you have any insights into qualifying for membership if you live out of their area? For example are there any of their member organizations who welcome memberships from out of state folks?
The annual fee waiver is not clear: “Rewards credit card members who maintain an active Rewards Savings Program and No Fee Checking account, plus related services including, direct deposit, debit card, free Virtual Branch, and eStatements on all accounts, will have the Rewards Credit Card $49 annual fee waived. Members may still apply for the Rewards credit card without the above listed services. However, the $49 annual fee will be assessed to the card account one year from credit card account approval.”
So, basically annual fee waived for the first year. All those requirements, aside from debit card use, would be fine. (Who would use their debit card anywhere with the option of a 5% everywhere credit card in their wallet??)
Debit card use is easy. Just make a payment towards the credit card through PayPal bill pay with the debit card as the funding source.
That’s an easy $600 a year assuming you are able to max out the $1k a month spend.
