What I like to do is take 15 $1 dollar bills and light them on fire one at a time with a Bic lighter. I hold each one by the tip of a corner while it burns right down to the tips of my thump and forefinger and slightly blisters the skin. After doing this 15 times, my finger prints are melted off and the sizzling pain is so great that I never do that again. Yet, it’s still more satisfying than blowing $15 on junk like this!

The 10″ 32gb is $25, probably a better deal.

Might be interesting if you want a control screen somewhere, like something mounted to adjust the music when you’re in the shower. Probably a little janky but at that price it probably works. A basic tablet is interesting to mount to a treadmill for Netflix as battery life and speed is basically irrelevant, but I think most people would want 10 inches and 1080p+ resolution
Once upon a time, I clicked whatever ad to pay to take the ad’s off one of those fire tablets… then immediately called to complain about the charge. “I thought it was free”… or something. They refunded the charge, and kept the ads off. Not sure if it’s a repeatable event, for example, if they base it on the age of the tablet, or just got a nice rep.
Unlikely that would ever happen. It’s a $15 tablet, and you want a health history?
More than likely, they just did the factory reset and a wipe down of the screen and plastic. Made sure the charger works. Give you a new cord, as that’s cheaper to replace than bother testing & it’s the highest likely failure point.
Woot says exactly what they mean by refurbished on the product’s page:
“These units have been tested and verified by Amazon to be fully functional and include the same accessories and in box documentation as new device. May have small cosmetic imperfections associated with regular use and be repackaged and sold in a brown box.”
Oh good, I’ve been wanting another glitchy device in my life.

That’s what she said (??)
Total price $22.78 with standard shipping ($6) after discount for non-Prime members.
This is the ad supported version…so annoying ads on lock screen…just something to keep in mind. Unless you want to custom ROM it.

I heard rumors that it’s become less effective as the trick has been popularized but it’s worth a shot
I almost think there should be a law passed that says exactly what refurbishment consisted of for the devices.
Furbished again?
Hilarious
Updated tracking for more personalized ads.
