Our Verdict

The 2,000 bonus points offer is a bit boring, but the free night certificate does make things a bit more interesting. I suspect most people still aren’t staying at hotels often, and I’m interested to see what the next round of hotel offers are going to be when that starts to ramp up.

All good things have to come to an end I suppose. Bonus journeys was just too amazing of a promotion to keep up forever.

I am a Globalist for the first time ever and I am currently mattress running some extra nights before February ends, so I can secure some guaranteed suite upgrades later this year.

It showed I had already registered when I tried to register the first time. Anyone with the problem? I have the Chase Hyatt card.

As a Globalist with a Hyatt credit card who is going to do a fair amount of travel, it’s not a bad offer. But that’s just for me, as I can hit the 10 nights for the free night. Ten nights earns me the equivalent of 40,000 points: 25,000 points of my choice and a 15,000 point stay. But for most folks, it’s a pretty blah offer. Even for me, I dislike being incentivized to stay at cheaper Hyatt Places and not at their nicer hotels, as the rewards earned will be the same. The current promo encourages award stays at the nicer hotels, as you get 25% off the points, which makes such stays more affordable.

Am I misunderstanding or are you? Where are you getting 25k points from? I read it as 2500 every 2 nights 5 times. 2500*5= 12,500 points.
