If you book 2 rooms for the same night at a hotel, do you still get credit for 2 nights or just 1? Does anyone know? It’s not clear from the T&C. Thanks in advance!
Is this a new trend where people pretend as having read the T&C but really didn’t?
Because it literally could not be more clear:
(b) after registering but no later than January 16, 2025, book (i) a Qualified Stay of two (2) consecutive nights or (ii) two (2) Qualified Stays of one (1) night each on any Direct Booking Channel (as defined below), and complete such stay(s) no later than January 20, 2025 (the requirements set forth in this clause (b), collectively, the “Booking & Stay Requirements”).
5000 bonus for cardmembers. Last promo had 7500 bonus — had to email about it but got it relatively easy after the email asking.
I agree Wyndham in general isn’t a lucrative program with Vacasa redemptions being very throttled but they fit a niche. I use them for an all inclusive down in Mexico. Given how much Hyatt has increased point redemption it is a nice alternative, similarly how sometimes I will stay at a Wyndham for half the price of Hilton/Marriott. It’s definitely not as good but its better for that value. YMMV
If you read the fine print, you also get a bonus 5K points if you have the Wyndham Visa card. Making it 12.5K after 2 nights, and a max of 20K if you do it twice (only get the bonus 5K once).
They went out of their way to exclude China? Guess I’m taking a trip to Vietnam.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in these Offer Terms, Offer not valid at hotels in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) or Mongolia.
I think it’s a wise decision, especially after other brands have been taken extreme advantage of in China like Hyatt with UrCove.
Basically one free day for every two night stay
7500 point hotels are usually dumps though.
First, that’s the way several hotel programs represent points; they mention the lowest possible redemption rate.
And it used to be the way airlines also represent miles, they would mention the lowest possible redemption rate. They just had to change that once they moved away from fixed redemption charts, because now airlines don’t have such a thing as fixed lowest possible redemption rate.
Anyway, even for true point stays, it’s a misrepresentation. It’s about* half of what you need for most Wyndham hotels, which is a lot better than at other hotel programs which make similar claims, where the lowest rate may be 1/3 or 1/4 of the typical hotel program redemption rate.
*Another thing that’s not mentioned here (because it’s totally separate): If you have a Wyndham credit card, you may get 10% off of all points stays, in which case you’ll only need 13500 instead 15000 points for each stay at most Wyndham properties.
Which Wyndham properties can you have a free night at 7500 points? I couldn’t find any when I did a quick search!
I’m not aware of any list. It’s likely to be hotels in not particularly popular places. I tried the Sacramento CA area as my first search try that I’ve not done before, and I found one right away, but only one among a list of mostly 15k and one 30k. The 7.5k there was the Travelodge by Wyndham Sacramento / Rancho Cordova, which is in a suburban location..
Plenty in large cities, just not the expensive ones.
It’d be a long list. Search up a city, set to book with points, there’s a filter for 7500 point properties, and you can switch to the map view.
For example, there’s quite a few in Houston.
Go to https://www.wyndhamhotels.com/wyndham-rewards/locations and filter by points. There’s a 7,500 point filter there.
In general I have found Wyndham’s promos to be generous, this included. A good program.
