Update 5/24/21: There’s another targeted version of this offer found in your Amazon Wallet for $25 off. Hat tip to reader MC
The Offer
Direct link to offer (our affiliate links in this post. This is the terms & conditions not the offer itself)
- Amazon is offering some users a $10 promo code when they add an American Express card.
- Sign in to your Amazon.com account.
- Click the ‘Add a Card’ widget from the advertisement and enter your credit card or debit card details.
- Upon successful registration of your card, the credit will be applied to your Amazon.com account.
- To redeem the credit, make subsequent eligible purchase(s) using any valid payment method.
The Fine Print
- This promotional offer is valid for a limited time only or while supplies last. Offer limited to one per customer account and one per credit card or debit card. Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the promotion at any time. Amazon Business accounts are not eligible for this offer. If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid, and the credit will not apply. This offer may not be resold, is nontransferable, not redeemable for cash, and is void where prohibited by law and in case of fraud. This offer may not be combined with other offers. Unless an Amazon Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion, credit (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards.
Our Verdict
If anybody gets a link to the actual offer that would be great, I assume it’ll show on the homepage if eligible. Might make sense to remove all American Express cards to try and trigger the offer. We’ve seen a lot of American Express promotions for Amazon lately:
- [YMMV] Amazon: Purchase $100 In Giftcards & Get $25 Bonus With Promo Code AMEXMOM20 When You Use An AmEx
- Amazon: Get 30%/40% Off on Amazon when Using 1 Membership Rewards Point (Max $30/$50 Discount) [YMMV]
got targeted today
Get $25 towards your next purchase when you add your Amex card.
just to add DP. I added the AMEX card through the promotional link on the page, but still hasn’t receive the credit after more than a week
is a Amazon Store Card a personal credit card or just a free gift card of any sort? I get this message on the top: “get $100 off instantly upon approval for the Amazon Prime Store Card” look: https://snipboard.io/PE9Ihn.jpg if its free for nothing I will get the 100usd but if I have to burn a slot of any sort I wouldnt!
1) Open amazon.com in incognito mode and log in to an account with the offer. It should show up as a banner like a google ad on the home page.
2) Open another incognito tab and log out. Keep the first tab open.
3) Log in to an account that is not eligible for the offer.
4) Click on the banner from the first tab. It should make you eligible for the offer.
I was able to do this and make two family members’ accounts eligible for the offer who were not eligible by clicking the link in the DoC post.
didn’t work for me.. when i opened amazon.com in incognito and logged in I never saw the AmEx banner at the top.. unless you’re seeing it somewhere else?
Update: the various offers seem to come and go from your wallet. Yesterday morning it was there for me, but by afternoon when I was ready to place an order it changed to a $100 gift card for opening the Amazon store card. Later that night the Amex offer came back so I jumped on it, and got an email with the terms. Apparently the credit expires in one calendar month, to the exact minute…lol.
MC, here is your $25 Amazon promotional credit!
Your $25 promotional credit is immediately available on your Amazon account and will automatically be applied at checkout. This promotional credit expires on Thursday, 06/24/2021.
This offer is available only to customers who were served an advertisement and entered a valid, non-expired card through the “Add-a-Card” promotion. Credit must be redeemed by 3:23 hrs UTC on 06/24/2021. Unredeemed credit will expire after that time. The credit may be redeemed on the purchase of physical products sold and shipped by Amazon.com or products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities which qualify for this offer. Offer excludes certain Digital content and products, including but not limited to Alexa, Fire, and Kindle products/devices, Gift Cards, Cloud drive and paid subscriptions such as Prime, Kindle Unlimited, Free Time Unlimited, Comixology Unlimited and Personal Shopper services. The credit will be allocated proportionally among all eligible items in your order. Shipping charges and taxes may apply to the full value of discounted and free promotional items. You are responsible for the final purchase price after the credit is applied, plus applicable taxes and shipping charges. If any of the products purchased with the credit are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product, subject to applicable refund policies.
Amazon claims the $10 has already been applied to my account, but I see no evidence of that. Not sure how to follow up with them. Nothing in the terms and conditions to give me a clue either.
Try checking out with an item “sold and shipped by Amazon” and you’ll see the promo applied on the final screen.

That’s for the default card offer, we posted about that separately
where could I find the advertise?
Yeah. $10 is not enough for me to hand over more of my financial information to them. The question is, what do they gain? Next they’ll be asking for access to my bank account transactions for $30 promo. No thanks.
$10 is enough for me to add a card. I suppose I should remove my existing cards first.
@Tom J so how do you pay for your Amazon orders?
You use your Amazon balance.
“This offer is available only to customers who were served an advertisement or received an email for an “Add-a-Card” promotion…”
Was targeted to add a master-card for $10 never had a master card linked before
Any link?
No. Unfortunately
