Our Verdict
Deal is supposed to be for new Echo device holders, but has worked for some readers that don’t even have an echo device. These often go on sale for various promotions like this for $0.99 or $5 and can always be flipped for a quick profit, also quite useful for personal use or a small gift.
Did not work for me today. Full price in cart and at checkout. Have never used this promo before either.
Unfortunately it didn’t work for me, but it is probably because about five or six weeks ago I did an Amazon promo and got one for 99 cents with a promo code already.
Tried by asking Alexa on my Firestick… $24.99.
Honestly my hit rate with these Amazon YMMV deals has been so bad it’s really made me not even try in the first place.
Worked for me, fine print says for new devices activated between 12/23 and 12/28, which is the case for me.
Did Not Work . Said 24.99 ..False
Worked for me. (you have to go to the checkout page to see the $discount) 12/30/19 at 6am Eastern Time
Yep! Rip Off! Only can get it at full price $25.
In this scene, and especially with Amazon’s often convoluted targeting requirements, missing out on a YMMV opportunity doesn’t make an opportunity a “rip-off”.
I think she is referring to the full price as a rup off.
rup off=rip off
Full price for me but I qualified for 99 price beforehand so that may have disqualified me.
I am in the same boat as Celia. It came up full price for me, but I did get in for one 99 cents a couple weeks ago by entering the promo code SMARTPLUG99 online.
Not taking it even for free.
Don’t be a dick.
