biggest amazon promo flop
This promo was activated on my account but I got no $25
My promo was applied but $25 didn’t come off. CS asked me place the order for $125 and confirmed they could see promo applied to the order on their end and said only $100 will be charged. I received both $100 and $25 and I see only $100 charged to my Amex account.
Promo was added to my account as well, no discount shown in checkout. Ordered 100+25 from their selection page. Amex shows $125 charge as pending.
These Amex promotions on Amazon never work for me. Constant BS trying to deal with them and they never pan out.

CS: That wasn’t purchased as a gift, therefore the system didn’t recognized the promotion, the code is already applied and it’s limited to use once per account so you no longer can get it.

Gift means entering recipients email name and a congratulations message. None of this was selected on your purchase
That sounds like they’re just making up BS answers. When I tried it, I did it as a gift to a different email address and added a message, it didn’t work for me.
one of their supervisors told me that i had to purchase the $100 card first, and this was after i copy/pasted the step-by-step instructions from the amazon page…the code showed as successfully applied initially, but now it’s saying that it can’t be added to my cart.
followed the exact step in the promo page, no dice like everyone else.
Chatted with Amazon and they said AMEX is in charge of the promotion so I needed to contact them. I called American Express and they said the $25 will be credited to my account after the purchase posts on my account.
I haven’t seen a promotion on Amazon work like that before.
I’ve contacted Amex and they told me that since Amazon initiated the promo, they can’t really do much to help me. Unfortunate, but I’m glad that a rep was able to help you. Maybe it’s an issue on Amazon’s end and they’ll fix it.
Same for me. Said that they couldn’t do anything on their end.
After working yesterday but no discount applied it now gives the error “the promotional code you entered cannot be applied “
So I spoke with Amazon because it said my promo was applied but didn’t come off. I figured others might have done what I did? You have to add a $100 egift and then add a $25 card from the special link in the promo page, go to check out and make sure your payment method is an AMEX, apply promo code. Not sure if this will help anyone but wanted to pass along.
Just tried following every step, confirmed message but still no discount.
Maybe this is why?
“Offer only valid for invited Amazon customers who have received this offer directly from Amazon through email or online display advertisements.”
And did that work for you? Or did they give you a courtesy credit?
Maybe it’s a targeted offer and only a few people are eligible.
