The Fine Print
- This limited time offer and associated promotional code expire at 11:59 PM (PT) December 22, 2018. Any promotional credit remaining unredeemed after February 6, 2019 11:59 PM (PT) will be forfeited.
- To be the first time reloading your Amazon.com Gift Card Balance and the reload amount must be at least $100;
you must be an eligible Amazon Prime member and use the Amazon Prime account into which you are currently logged in; - purchase the reload using an eligible American Express Card, where Membership Rewards points are used for at least a portion of the purchase; and
- Click the button to automatically add the promotion to your account, or alternatively enter the promotional code “AMEXRELOAD15” in the “Gift Cards & Promotional Codes” box on the checkout page before you go to the reload page.

Our Verdict
Wont’ work if you’ve reloaded your balance before. Standard deal is $10, but we sometimes see this $15 deal as well when you use an American Express point. Amazon isn’t a good use of American Express points, so I’d recommend only doing it with a single point to trigger the offer.
The promotional code, in addition to other restrictions, can ONLY be used on Sold by Amazon products. Fulfilled by Amazon products need not apply.

Did the offer but didn’t get the $15 amazon credit yet. I will give it a few more days and then I will call customer service.

Was eligible, applied one point and didn’t get $15 off, nowhere to enter promo code on reload page, placed the order anyway, contacted customer service and got a $15 promo credit for next order instead.

The last time they ran this promo, a few readers commented that after reloading using just one Membership Rewards point, the $15 credit did not post.
