[Expired] [YMMV] American Express Transfer Bonus: 20% To Etihad (1:1.20)

Deal has ended, view more transfer bonuses by clicking here.

The Offer

  • Some American Express members are being targeted for a 20% transfer bonus to Etihad. Normally you can transfer 1,000 Membership Rewards points to 1,000 Etihad points. Under this promotion you’d receive 1,200 Etihad points.

The Fine Print

  • Valid until April 4, 2024

Our Verdict

We have only seen one American Express transfer bonus to Etihad and that was in 2015 when Etihad first became a transfer partner (that was for 30%). As always with these transfer bonuses these are worth doing if you have a short to medium term need for the miles but otherwise it’s not worth the risk as a devaluation could come at any time. In Arabic, Etihad means unity. When I used to hear Etihad Airlines, I would think of United Airlines.

That’s impossible to answer for others… you have to do what is best for you.
For me the best use it transfer to LM with 15% bonus because I have to take LH F to Europe couple of times per year. But for others it could be another transfer partner or cashing out.

130k for Apartment from JFK-AUH route + $600. Its okay, and I found Apartment was spectacular for only 7 hours from LHR-AUH route.
