I got an offer on one of our accounts for $5 back with any Pay With Ibotta purchase at a restaurant. I also have another $5 offer for any 3 Pay With Ibotta offers. Sadly using it twice in a row at Walmart only counted once towards the bonus. I do not have either offer on my wife’s account, but she has a get $10 offer when spending $75 with Pay with Ibotta. I guess we could buy $75 of gift cards somewhere(s) to redeem it.

Brain fart moment: I was going to use Ibotta to buy a gift card at Chipotle since I was going to be near one. Only after I got to the parking lot (not out of my way, fortunately) did I realize I only had to buy the gift card IN IBOTTA to redeem the offer :). So I bought a $5 gift card and got $5 from Ibotta. So if you have this offer just buy a gift card to redeem it.

MisterBill Your wife might have the 3 Pay for ibotta bonus, I think everyone got it. The first time you use it though doesn’t count toward that if you have the try it out bonus. It takes the second one to start it. I used Walmart 4 in a row for $1 each and got credit for all. Even combined it with a weekend bonus of $5 so I ended up with $15 and $4 in Walmart gift cards.

The Walmart one is the easiest one for the spend $75 get $10. You can do that in increments too. You don’t have to even leave the house. Buy the gift card and load it on to your Walmart account for future use.

I did not have the Try it Out bonus as I’d used it previously. But interesting that it might become available on my wife’s account if I use it once.

BTW I was pleasantly surprised to find that the WM gift card works fine at self-scan without cashier intervention. First time I tried it I had a cashier helping me, but she was there already because of coupons.

It is easy to use at self checkout, hard with a cashier (they get confused). I also use it at Sam’s too. Self check simple as well.

Targeted? I don’t see the offer on my account. John 3:16

FYI, BofA Cash Rewards codes Ibotta Pay as online shopping (does not care about the merchant in my experience).

My $5 bonus for doing 5 offers + 1 online offer has remained pending for the last 5 days, if I still don’t see it post by tomorrow, I’ll cash out my $3x.xx instead of waiting longer. Funds from ibotta has subsidized a chunk of MS fees for me.

The bonus pays out after 14 days. So if you see in your activity that you completed it, check the date and add 14 days.

Murphy strikes again, ‘c’est la vie’

After sitting on a balance for 6 months, I cashed out to Paypal yesterday as money earning had really gotten sparse lately on ibota

I always keep over $20 in my balance so I can cash out at any time.

I don’t understand this logic. You permanently keep $20 there so you could withdraw it, rather than simply withdrawing it? What situation would you so urgently need that next $5, that’s it’s worth risking your balance if you or they get shutdown for whatever reason?

Ibotta occasionally “freezes” accounts for no rhyme or reason. You cannot cash out until they reset your account which can take over a week (and several frantic messages to customer support). For that reason (and the stress of going through the experience) I don’t recommend leaving any balance in Ibotta that you can’t afford to lose.

I judge the probability of them shutting down my account less than that of me no longer using the service at some point. So I’d rather always have the option to fully cash out without having $10 stuck in there.
