Just be aware than absolutely any change to your order after it’s placed will remove the coupons on Ubereats and charge you a higher price. I changed one replacement preference (in case something was out of stock) and lost the coupon.

I spoke with their call center – no chance to add it back. It’s such a scammy service.

This offering is bizarre to say the least. I’d expect this from a cashback portal before I would Uber.

Costco is not included in UberEats my area.

Even if you’re a Costco member, they add 7% service charge to total order value.

On average Costco price to Uber listed price is 9% higher for me. So it’s like 16% upcharge but remember you can get Uber gc at 20% discount from Costco. Overall I feel like an accountant trying to balance books.

Don’t forget the net present value calculation should include how long the GC is unused.

The value of not having to go into Costco around Christmas time is priceless.

I was going to say that that hasn’t been my experience, but I guess it has. The 5 dollar rotisserie chicken is 5.39 for me. Which is like 8 percent higher

The in store savings and all for current products (Kerrygold butter recently) do apply

But I think even with the surcharge and UberOne free delivery and a promo if you’re lucky (I have 10 off 50 order right now, which seems to be across many restaurants and grocery stores), it still seems to me to be well worth it for a monthly run without ever having to step into the godforsaken madhouse that’ll lure you with one impulse buy after another lol. And the time saved!
