The Offer
- Currently Verizon seems to be offering a $10 discount on every active line when you start trying to port out to another company.
- Open your My Verizon app.
Click on the Account icon at the bottom of the app. - Click on the “Edit Profile and Settings”
- Account Settings screen, scroll down to the Security section and click Number Lock.
- On the Number Lock screen, turn off the Number Lock for each line.
- Go back to the Account Settings screen and click on Number Transfer Pin.
- Generate a Number Transfer Pin.
- Wait a day or two and hope discount is offered
- Open your My Verizon app.
Our Verdict
Lots of datapoints of this working on SD. $10 discount a month is great if you don’t actually want to leave.

I turned it back on and then off on each line, requested a transfer on just on the primary account number (mine), and the next morning I received the email and a text offering the $10 discount per line for 12 months

Up for me. But it’s back. Have add each line one at a time by logging out and back in. On IOS anyway
For the folks that had support rep apply the loyalty discount instead of system generating it, did your next bill show up with the loyalty discount also? I had the discount applied by the rep but I don’t see the next bill in estimate section say anything, the rep assured me that it is in and I will see when it generates next month.
Had the $10/line loyalty discount last year. This year, I was only offered $5/line. Had to chat with three people and call to even get that $5/line discount applied.
What do you mean by you had to chat with three people? Did you just open chat and ask them for a 10/line loyalty? 😁
Just worked for me! I had a phone upgrade offer pop up in the app right after I completed, then got the $10/month discount email ten minutes later. The only difficult part was getting away from the useless chatbot to a real human, but once that happened, the service was great! This site is always saving me money!
Followed these steps and it worked!! But I did have to chat Verizon to apply the discount. The first rep was annoying but the second one did it. Lowered my monthly bill from $180 to $140.
I received a text saying to dial 611 to speak with a rep to save $10/line. Tks so much!!! Love this site 🙂
