Not sure if I’ve just become overly skeptical these days but can’t see how this is a real thing. Verizon are just like hey here’s $40 off a month? The promo was available for the 2 lines on our account so I redeemed it and it is saying going forward our bill will drop $40.
Again, highly skeptical that this is some kind of bait and switch.
I did this and it worked. However, I am leaving for us mobile. They added fees to my grandfathered plan and this is how they got me to switch to unlimited
This deal is a monthly credit as long as you stay on 5G Start, Play, Do, or Get More. More likely to get it when you have fewer installment plans.
No discount, but I already have a $25/month loyalty discount for my 3 lines.
What is your service plan, and do you remember how you got the loyalty discount?
Two 5G Start and one 5G Get More. There was an offer in my account last year in My Verizon app and CS had to apply the discount for me. There are numerous posts on Reddit about loyalty discounts being offered (usually being notified vis SMS) over the last 1-2 years.
$10/25 off the bill?
Worked for my account (1 line), shows up on the “One-time charges and credits” section of “next bill” as “LOYALTY $10 DISC 1PHONE”…. but I don’t understand the wording of the promotion — is this a one-time discount or a “monthly” discount as it implies? The terms in Verizon Up say:
Save $10/mo on your current Unlimited Plan
Get this discount on your current 5G Start Unlimited Plan. This discount applies when some of your phone lines are one 5G Start, 5G Play More, 5G Do More, or 5G Get More plans. Account level discounts vary by number of phone lines. Save $10/month on 1 line, $25/month on 2 lines, $25 on 3 lines, $20 on 4 or more phone lines. Taxes and fees apply. Cannot be combined with other plan discounts. you will see the discounted plan cost for your account on your next bill summary.
That sounds like a new monthly discount (since it’s “/mo” and can’t be combined with other plan discounts)…. But my bill summary only shows the discount on “next bill,” not “new monthly.” Funnily enough, I’m actually on 5G Play More even though the Verizon Up offer says “current 5G Start Unlimited Plan.”

I ditched Verizon for T-mobile 2 weeks ago
My final bill has not even been finalized yet.:D
I also moved to T-Mobile recently. Got a final bill for $1 and change from Verizon. No idea why, and not sure if it’s worth doing a chat with them to find out why. The bill they sent in the mail didn’t make it obvious.
TM was around the same price at VZW since I had $25 off three lines. But I was tired of having to pay $10/day for Travelpass when I wanted to use my phone outside the country.
Interestingly enough I ditched Verizon for an MVNO because it was $15-25 cheaper per month 😆
I ditched Verizon for T-mobile a year ago and still CLICKED on the link looking for this deal! It isn’t April Fool’s day but someone got me without even trying! LOL
