You can get Best Buy to price match, but you have to find a Walmart store with them in stock at the lower price.

DoC isn’t known for speed on deals but rather a gatekeeper for good deals and valuable information with community contribution. However DoC is 🥇 for bank and credit card related information. If you want deals fast, especially those that are taken advantage of and die quickly, you have to monitor a handful of blogs and sites including the one mentioned.

FYI- Smoke detectors do expire, and these Nest detectors disable themselves at expiration. Past clearance Nest devices have only had ~6-7 years left on their 10-year lifespan.

It’s the CO element that expires. They have a lifespan of ~10 years. I’m almost certain this is some sort of law.

Check the dates before you open the package
You can google how to read the outside manufacturer date
