[Expired] Zip Fest (Buy Now, Pay Later): $15 Cashback On $50+ At Amazon, eBay & More

Deal has ended, view more Zip deals by clicking here.

The Offer

  • Zip (formerly Quadpay) a buy now, pay later service is currently offering Zip Fest running from Oct 21st-26th and offering a number of useful discounts:
    • $15 Cashback on $50+ Amazon purchase
    • $15 Cashback on $50+ eBay purchase
    • $25 Cashback on $100+ Apple purchase
    • $15 Cashback on $50+ Walmart purchase
    • $20 Cashback on $100+ Home Depot
    • $20 Cashback on $100+ Nike purchase
    • $10 Cashback on $75+ Sephora purchase

Our Verdict

Zip lets you split a purchase into four equal payments over six weeks, there is 0% APY on most of the purchases but this is a bit misleading as you pay a fee instead. It looks like the fee is $1 per payment, so on a $50 Amazon purchase split over four payments you’d pay $4 in fees.

Are there any datapoints on how Quadpay/Zip codes to a CC?

I did this through 4 vendors but my discount is only showing on the first one I did. Anyone else? UGH!

Me too, but I placed the orders on consecutive days, so I assume the other 2 are forthcoming.

Did anyone receive an “unfortunately, your profile doesn’t meet our approval criteria right now”? I just checked my credit scores are 819/822, if that makes any difference?

Gift cards work for all?

Just placed an order for a $51 Amazon email gift card

Spent $55 ($51 is my gift card, $4 is the payment plan)
Zip Cashback +$15
Chase/PayPal Cashback +$2.70 (Could be more or less – still confused about the 5-9% categories and since the last payment wont charge you fully as it sounds like it deducts the cashback in an adjustment)

Profit = $13.70

GL everyone!

Of course. I did exactly what the app told me to and it didn’t work. It already charged my debit card the first quarterly payment at full price and the order doesn’t show any discount anywhere. Now I’m going to have to contact their support when they get back in.

I shopped at Apple.com inside their app/browser. Clicked the button to pay via Zip. Zip pre-populated the Apple shopping cart with their virtual card details. No dice.

Ok I wrote to zip this morning and just heard back this afternoon. This is what they said:

“You should see your cash back applied to your installment plan in the form of an adjustment within 6 weeks of purchase. This adjustment will be automatically applied to your final installment.”

So FYI in theory it should be coming eventually!

In theory your issue will be the same. I’m experiencing the same thing did a $51 Amazon GC.

Did you read the terms?

“For cash back Rewards, provided your satisfaction of each of the foregoing conditions for each qualifying Transaction, you will receive by December 23, 2021 the corresponding Reward by way of a cash back deposit or refund to your original mode of payment (such as a credit card or debit card) for such Transaction.”

This seems to be very promising! The total amount of cashback from each merchant is capped at $40. So, theoretically you can do the amazon, ebay, walmart, and so on twice! My apple offer shows $20 back on $100 orders so that could be done twice as well. The terms and conditions don’t prohibit gift cards. So, I did merchant specific gift cards with each merchant (bought apple from apple).

Did you see the rebate taken off of your installment plan at Zip? Or are you assuming that it will be added at a later date?

No, it says it’s kind of a cash back not a discount. It says it will be paid after the 4th installment is paid before ~ Dec 4th. So, I’m assuming the cash back will not arrive before dec 4th

You can’t do each offer multiple times.

“For the avoidance of doubt, you may receive and use a combination of Offers including Merchant-specific Offers and other types of Offers, and cash back offers which are not made under these Terms, any of which may be eligible to be applied to your Transactions during the Program Period. However, in any case, the maximum Reward you will be able to receive from Transactions with any given Merchant during the Program Period will be equal to the Cap.”

Not seeing how this says you can’t do it multiple times. I believe the cap refers to the $40 cashback total you can get per merchant.

The cap is how much you can get back between three different types of offers. Where do you see anything that says you can use a deal multiple times?

Edit: The QuadPay Fest earlier this year had % back offers, so you could get up to the full $40 cap. These are all $ back offers, with no indication you can use them multiple times.

I just spoke to a rep, you could do it multiple times but it looks like it’s dead now Doc. Rep also said deal was over midnight on the 24th. They cut it short.

The terms listed in the app make zero mention I could find of any purchase exclusions. Wondering if it’s worth asking them or just screenshotting the terms…
